Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Bargad when you use the app.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bargad app and the website at bargad.app (together, “Bargad”). Your privacy is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
2. Who can use Bargad
You must be an adult (18 or older) to create a Bargad account. Bargad is designed for families, and an adult who sets up a circle is responsible for the family members they add, including managed profiles for children. If you add a child’s profile, you confirm that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian, or otherwise authorised to manage their information.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google and are responsible for keeping access to your account secure. You’re responsible for the activity that happens under your account and profiles you manage. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4. Your content
The content you add to Bargad — your photos, documents, notes, messages, records, and other information — remains yours. You grant Bargad the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content so we can provide the service to you and the family members in your circle. You’re responsible for the content you add and for having the right to add it, including anyone else’s information you choose to include. Available feature exports are free; their scope depends on the feature and they are not a promise of one complete account or circle export.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Bargad for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
- Upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Attempt to access other families’ data, or disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the service.
- Use Bargad in a way that harms children or violates their privacy.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Bargad offers a paid plan for a household. Subscriptions are billed through Razorpay; your payment details are handled by Razorpay and not stored by Bargad. Paid plans renew automatically for the billing period you choose until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. Prices may change, and we’ll give reasonable notice before a change affects you. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable; if you think something has gone wrong with a charge, contact us and we’ll look into it. Our Refunds & Cancellations policy explains how to cancel and when a refund applies, in plain language.
7. Bargad is not professional advice
Bargad helps you organise your family’s money, documents, household continuity, and health and fitness information. It is a tool for organisation only. Bargad does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or medical advice, and nothing in the app should be relied on as such. Family Vault entries and continuity notes are for your own record-keeping and are not legal documents. For decisions that need professional guidance, please consult a qualified professional.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Bargad running well, but the service is provided “as is” and we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bargad is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Ending your use of Bargad
You can stop using Bargad and request account deletion at any time — see Delete your account and data. A request is not completion; Bargad confirms completed deletion separately. We may suspend or end access to Bargad if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or where necessary to protect users or comply with the law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any disputes, subject to any mandatory rights available to you under local law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
