Refunds & Cancellations

How Bargad billing works, how to cancel, and when a refund applies.

Last updated: 21 July 2026

In plain terms: Bargad’s free plan is free forever. If you subscribe, you can cancel any time in a couple of taps — no phone calls, no retention maze — and you keep paid features until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. If a charge goes wrong, tell us and we’ll make it right.

This policy explains how Bargad subscriptions are billed, how to cancel, and when we refund a payment. It sits alongside our Terms of Service — where the Terms and this page describe the same thing, they’re meant to agree.

How our plans work

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time, and cancelling is deliberately simple — the same number of steps as subscribing, with no “are you sure” gauntlet and no offers you have to decline to leave.

When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for — you keep every paid feature until then, and you’re simply not charged again. After that, your household moves back to the free plan. Cancelling a plan does not delete your account or content; free-plan limits and feature availability still apply. Available feature exports are free, but Bargad does not promise one complete account or circle export.

When we refund a payment

Because you can cancel any time and keep access through a period you’ve already paid for, we don’t usually refund a period that’s underway — cancelling stops the next charge rather than clawing back the current one. But we’d always rather be fair than technical, so we refund promptly in cases like these:

Where a refund is due, we send it back to your original payment method through Razorpay, typically within 5–7 business days of approving it (your bank may take a little longer to show it). If you think a charge isn’t right, just contact us — we’ll look into it properly and won’t hide behind fine print.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under India’s consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Where the law gives you a stronger right than this page describes, the law wins.

Failed or involuntary payments

If an automatic renewal fails — an expired card, a lapsed UPI mandate, a bank decline — we don’t cut your family off abruptly. Your paid features continue through a short grace period while we retry and let you update your payment method. Only if payment still can’t be collected does the household return to the free plan. That plan change does not itself delete your account or content; free-plan limits apply.

Free trials

If we offer a free trial, we don’t take a payment method up front, so a trial can’t quietly turn into a charge. If you do nothing when the trial ends, your household simply continues on the free plan — there’s no bill to cancel.

Price changes

If we ever change the price of a plan, we’ll give you reasonable notice before it affects you, so you can decide whether to continue before any new price is charged. A price change never applies retroactively to a period you’ve already paid for.

How to reach us about billing
