Delete your account and data

Request deletion of your Bargad account and the data associated with it.

Last updated: 28 July 2026

You can request account deletion at any time. This page explains how to start the request, how completion is confirmed, and what may be kept.

How to request deletion

Email [email protected] from the Google email address you use to sign in to Bargad, with the subject “Delete my account”. Using your own sign-in address helps us confirm the request is really you. You can also start the same request inside Bargad — open Settings, then Delete account, on the web or in the mobile app. A parent or guardian can request deletion of a child’s profile and data by email the same way.

Automated deletion is not live. Either route starts a request; a request, a scheduled date, or a date shown in the app is not evidence that the work has finished. Bargad must confirm completion separately.

What happens next

We verify the request and review the account, private content, shared family records, and records we may need to retain. The date recorded with a request is the end of the window in which you can cancel it, not a completion date. We will confirm separately when the requested work has been completed. Until you receive that confirmation, do not treat the recorded request or any date shown in the service as proof of deletion.

What confirmed completion removes

When we confirm that a request is complete, the completed process removes the account data that can be erased without changing another person’s shared records. This includes:

What is anonymised or kept

Managing a child’s data

Children’s profiles in Bargad are created and managed by a parent or guardian. A guardian can use available feature exports or request deletion of a child’s information using the email above. The same confirmation boundary applies.
